26-year old swede who is blindly in love with horses and photography. To travel, to experience every inch of muscles, expressions and to be chasing light. It’s the meaning of my life.
I was born in the town Kalmar, in south Sweden. When growing up I had a dream that I think a lot of horse-loving girls have. I wanted to be a veterinary. But my dreams changed when I got older. I spent a lot of time in the stable, on the riding school and later on I started to be interested in the harness racing industry. I got lucky and spent my evenings and weekends in a stable where I helped with the standardbreds.
When I was not in the stable, I was looking in old harness racing magazines, I cut and pasted all the beautiful images of the horses and saved them in a binder. I think it was right there, that my love for powerful and beautiful equine photography started. And, my new dream was to work with harness racing, and I also really wanted to travel to USA and work there.
The first time I started to photograph, I was 13 years old. I used my fathers Sony digital camera with 3 megapixel and the worst optic zoom, and all of my models where of course horses of all kind!
Yes, I did work with harness racing for a few years. And I was even in USA, working there. But somehow I decided it was not what I wanted to do. Even today I’m not totally sure on this. But, after deciding that, I felt very lost and confused of what to do with my life. My big dream was not longer right, what should you do then? Well, my interest of photography grew and one day I just knew. If I’m not going to work with horses, as a caretaker, then I’m going to be a photographer!
