I have lived on the Öland for a large part of my life now and have spent the last few years exploring the island and its magical places by photographing horses there. One place where I have photographed a lot is on the famous and mile-long white sandy beach in the northern part. It has been one of the most popular elements of my workshops and I want to once again offer this on a portfolio day!
This event starts in the afternoon (at 15:30) on 13th of April and ends in the evening of the same day (around 20:00). We will photograph at one of my favorite places, a beach on the north-east side that is very popular on Öland. The models are well chosen to suit a beach shoot and they are guaranteed to shine in your portfolio. We will mainly focus on action photos but the opportunity will also be given to photograph portraits on location.
This is a great chance if you want to get photos that really stand out in your portfolio. It's also perfect if you just want to expand your image library with something new that you haven't had before.

Information about the portfolio day
On a sandy beach on north east Öland. Exact spot will be shared with participants.
Where is the portfolio day?
The portfolio day starts at 15:30 in the afternoon on 13th of April and ends in the evening of the same day when the sun has set (approx. 20:00). It is good to be on site a little while before the shooting starts as we need to prepare the shooting.
What date?
Everyone is welcome regardless of previous experience. It's good if you have some knowledge of your camera settings - but I will of course help you if needed.

Do I need accommodation?
Accommodation is not included. I can help with recommendations if you are staying overnight after the portfolio day is over.
Is food included?
Food is not included in the portfolio day. Everyone may bring their own water and any snacks needed during the shoot.
What is our schedule?
The portfolio day starts in the afternoon at 15:30 on Saturday 13th of April and ends around 20:00 when the sun has set. We will have a total of 4 horse models booked in that we will photograph according to a time schedule. We photograph on the beach, in the water and in the nature around the beach. For each new model we will explore new angles, perspectives and light to get a greater variety among our images.

The background seen inland is so beautiful with sand dunes, plants and lots of pine trees that make this place so unique and scenic to photograph in.
Play with the light
The conditions on the beach, the light and the places we can use are very variable. On the beach with the sea as a background it's very beautiful when the light comes from the side.
Photos in the sea
The bottom is made of sand, so it's great to let the horses run in the water to get dreamy pictures like this. Here we can also experiment with angles and shoot more from the side or when the horses run towards the beach.

Important! The portfolio day needs to have at least 4 participants to happen
The price includes a photo shoot with 4 models and the right to use the images commercially without restriction. During the evening, you get to see how I work with our models, however, it is not a regular education or course.
The price on the portfolio day is SEK 1500 incl. VAT. This is paid at the time of booking. In case of cancellation, the fee is not refunded, but you can, however, sell your spot to someone else.
